Each of the principals of ADS average over sixteen years of technical and business experience. The management team of ADS is comprised of three members: Mark Ciapka, Michael Baresh and John Roney.
John Roney, President
Prior to joining ADS, Mr. Roney led development organizations at LexisNexis and Macmillan Information Services as Vice President of Product Development. His teams have built very profitable directory sites including lawyers.com which is the number one searched site on the Internet for consumers looking for legal services with over 1 million searches a month. Mr. Roney helped transform Lexis’ Martindale-Hubbell business from solely a print publisher to a leading provider of marketing services including the creation and hosting of 20,000 law firm web sites. The business saw significant growth in advertising revenue from 1998 through 2005. He holds a BS in Accounting from The Pennsylvania State University before entering the IT/web development industry.
Mark Ciapka, Partner
Prior to founding ADS in February of 1997, Mark was a senior analyst, technical team leader, and project manager for the Medical Systems Division of Xybion Corporation - a Data Management Software development firm working with some of the most prestigious names in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Mark holds a BS in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Web Master Certification from The New Jersey Institute of Technology.
- Mark designed and developed the database, logic engine and user interface that drives a large online directory providing geo-targeted results in milliseconds.
- Led the design and development of an innovative (now patented) internet-based multi-vendor business-to-business commerce system.
- Designed and developed an extremely efficient and secure commerce engine that serves as the platform for an e-commerce site serving over 5 million hits per month.
- Designed and developed a web-based system to manage one of the largest, most detailed marketing databases in it's industry. This system controls numerous databases, facilitates platform independent data transfer over the internet with custom field mapping and cross reference matching and XML import/export. The system also creates and prints high quality, custom catalogs, marketing proposals and sales presentations.
Michael Baresh, Partner
Prior to joining ADS in 1998, Michael spent eleven years working for Warner-Lambert (now Pfizer) and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in a variety of senior technical and management positions. Michael holds a MBA in Information Systems and BS in Computer Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Certificate in Computer Programming from the Chubb Institute.
