ADS approach

One of the most important steps that is frequently overlooked in the Web design process is up-front planning. At ADS we have several phases to design a Website that satisfies our clients needs and help the overall process move smoothly and efficiently.

Our goal is to expand your market by educating your visitors about your industry and products/services. The secret is to predict what information your Website visitors will be searching for and provide it to them. It is to your benefit to provide information about your company, goals and your customers to help us propose a custom solution to your specific needs. Once you have taken a look below at what our process is, visit client process for questions that may help you decide what your goals are and what your customers should expect from your site.

Strategy
The purpose of the strategy phase is to define the user's business needs, business objectives, project scope, and project constraints and risks. This is done through meeting with the client in person or via phone. Visit client process for questions to help you prior to this meeting.

Analysis
The purpose of the analysis phase is to define the detailed requirements for the project. A business data and process model is created to capture the functional and data requirements of the Website. The technical architecture requirements that are required to operate and support the Website are also addressed at this stage, such as the site security, control and performance. A high level testing, training, and data conversion strategy is elaborated during this phase.

Design
The purpose of the design phase is to transform the business requirements into a set of detailed specifications. The models created in the analysis phase are transformed into tangibles. The database is configured and the Website pages, complete with user and functional interface, are created. The testing, training and data conversion strategies are refined and detailed plans are produced outlining the activities that must be performed to satisfy the identified testing, training and data conversion requirements.

Development
The purpose of the development phase is to code and test all required Website elements to verify that they work as per the stated Website specifications. The test and production databases are also created.

Future Planning
If there are more aspects of the website that need to be rolled out the details of those roll outs are confirmed along with projected dates of the roll outs.

Maintenance
ADS maintains and updates Websites according to the needs of the client. The more frequently new information appears on your site, the greater the chance your visitors will return more often. Discussion of where the content will come from and when the updates will occur is discussed.

Implementation
The purpose of the implementation phase is to migrate the Website from the ADS development environment to the production environment and convert legacy data into the new system databases. The systems people who will operate the site are trained.
